HP Designjet 700 Series Printers - Media not Loading or Advancing Properly

In this document:

Media is not loading or advancing properly through the printer. Common causes of this issue are the media sensor, overdrive clutch assembly, media spindle, or the right roll-feed assembly. In rare cases the printer's overdrive assembly may be causing the issue. Follow the steps listed in this document to accurately determine the cause of the failure and to replace the appropriate parts.

  2. After replacement of the right roll-feed, reassemble the printer to verify functionality.
  1. Verify printer functionality. Perform media loading procedure with both roll and sheet (preferably larger than 8.5 x 11 inches) media, two times each.
  2. If media loads correctly, the problem has been solved.
